In the year 2018, International Association of Advanced Materials made some outstanding accomplishments. The association outreached all its goals and organized as many as nine international assemblies of its flagship event, Advanced Materials Congress. These conferences were organized in the continents of Asia and Europe. As many as 2000 scientists, students, and business executives from more than 80 countries attended these highly interdisciplinary events. By organizing these nine conferences, IAAM facilitated global forums where scientists and researchers from all over the world could come together and indulge in discussions over the most recent progresses in the field of advanced materials. All the conferences that IAAM organized in this year proved to be amazing successes.
IAAM organized Advanced Materials World Congress in Singapore during 05-08 February 2018. The conference was organized to provide a global platform for researchers and engineers from academia and industry to present their research results and ideas in the field of fundamental and interdisciplinary research of materials science and technology. Scientists, researchers, business executives, students, and technocrats from as many as 71 countries of the world came together in this extensive celebration of advanced materials. The congress witnessed a high number of high-quality presentations and lectures.
AEMC was held during 25-28 March 2018 in Stockholm, Sweden. AEMC 2018 brought together innovative academics and industrial professionals from the field of advanced energy materials and technology to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference was to explore the advancement of materials in energy conversion, storage, and transport, while also enlightening the novel approaches in materials design, synthesis and evaluating their sustainability towards technology. The secondary goal was to promote scientific and translational research and innovations, technology developments and information interchange in the global community.
IAAM had organized the second BCS during 14-17 May 2018 in Stockholm, Sweden. The goal of this conference series was to provide an interdisciplinary global forum for researchers, educators, technocrats, students, and engineers working in the field of carbon materials & technology, plastics, rubber, epoxy, resins, pulp, paper and wood technology, etc. coming from academia and industry to present their research results, innovations, products and current activities. The 2nd BCS was attended by delegates from as many as 47 countries. The conference proved to be an amazing success and induced a surge in the awareness about materials science, engineering, and technology.
During 03-06 June 2018, IAAM organized Composite Materials Congress and Bioelectronics Symposium (BBS). These events were graced by the participation of members from both academia and industry having a legacy of advanced materials research. The conference covered the full span of fields ranging from the processing, properties to applications of composite materials and bio-based, biomimetic advanced composites, biosensors and bioelectronics, etc. The congress received abstracts from 43 countries and had 11 thematic sessions including 08 keynotes talks, 26 invited lectures, oral & poster presentations, and IAAM felicitation ceremony.
EAMC 2018 was organized during 20 – 23 August 2018 with the theme, “Translational Research and Innovation Blending Academic and Business Perspectives: Advancing the Materials for New Age Technology”, reflecting the scientist-industry model that is valued for the global excellence. The goal of this 20th assembly of Advanced Materials Congress was to be a common forum for scientific and technological exchanges from academia and industries. This congress had participation of delegates from more than 60 countries and ran with 35 thematic Sessions including 15 keynotes talks, 135 invited lectures and series of Oral & Poster presentations.
The 21st AMC was organized during 03-06 September 2018 in Stockholm, Sweden. The congress theme, “A substantial move towards the New age Innovation and Technology-Bridging Sensor, Actuator, Polymer and Thin Film (SAPTFs)”, reflected the scientist-industry model that is valued for the advancement of society.This 21st AMC presented an amalgamation of different fields and subjects like Sensor, Actuator, Polymer and Thin Film along with new age innovation and technology for the advancement of society.The conference covered the challenges of this sector faced in the industry and markets.
The 3rd BCS was a comprehensive forum organized during 09 – 12 October 2018 to discuss the recent trends of advancement of nanomaterials and nanotechnology along with the deep insight of drug delivery and nanomedicine, especially in the field of translational research, innovations and technology for market. This series was an attempt to bridge medical research and nanotechnology to answer the current challenges faced in the healthcare, Nano-industry and the market. The theme, “A substantial move towards the medical innovations and nanotechnology”, explored the recent development and discoveries in the respective field of nanotechnology and nanomedicine.
The 23rd assembly of Advanced Materials Congress was also the very first assembly of World Congress Series (WCS). It was organized during 04-07 November 2018 in the city of Nobel, Stockholm, Sweden. This assembly offered a coordination in three contemporary research fields – i) Energy, ii) Catalysis and iii) Plasma and that paved the way for a new horizon towards translational research and innovations for the market.The theme, “A significant move towards the translational research, innovations and technology”, provided the opportunity to highlight the advances from “laboratory to end users” research and practices.
24th AMC, the 2nd Assembly of World Congress Series, was hosted in the city of Nobel Prize, Stockholm during 10 – 13 December 2018. This assembly offered an interdisciplinary platform on the cross-disciplinary area of the chemistry and quantum physics to provide way for a new horizon towards translational research and innovations for the market. The theme, “A substantial move towards the new age innovations and technology”, provided the opportunity to highlight the advances in the “commercialization of translational research and innovations”. The congress received abstracts from 22 countries and was a truly global event.
