Prof. Zhong Lin Wang completed his doctorate degree from Arizona State University in the year 1987. Currently, he serves as the Hightower Chair in Materials Science and Engineering and Regents’ Professor at Georgia Tech. He also serves as the Director of Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Nanosystems, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Wang is widely regarded as the world leader in ZnO nanostructure research. He has made some pioneering research and highly significant and notable contributions to nanoscience and nanotechnology. He was the first person to show that nanogenerator is generated from the Maxwell’s displacement current.
He also revived the application of Maxwell’s equations in energy and sensors. Besides this, he has also made several priceless contributions to the world of science. Dr. Wang has authored and co-authored as many as 6 scientific reference and textbooks. He has also authored more than 1200 peer-reviewed journal articles, 45 review papers, book chapter. Moreover, he has also edited and co-edited 14 volumes of books on nanotechnology. Dr. Wang has also held more than 100 patents. With an h-index of 162, he is one of the top 5 most-cited authors of nanotechnology in the world. He has also been invited to deliver more than 900 keynote, plenary, invited, and seminar talks at various international conferences all around the world.
